About The Fantasy

Back in the office after 3 days in Phuket. Absolutely no mood to work, especially since I have all of 10 more days before I kiss this stinking account goodbye. Heh... So instead of clearing my mailbox, I find myself drooling as I watch the new Jay Chou music video on YouTube.

I'm not a fan of Fei Yu Qing, but I must admit that he suits the song quite nicely. :P And does anyone else think that the girl in this video looks like Jolin Tsai? :

About The Beginning Of The End

It hit me again this morning as I was in the taxi, on the way to the office... How utterly miserable I was at the prospect of going to work. How utterly I loathed my clients. How utterly meaningless my professional life had become.

I decided that enough was enough. I've done nothing but whine and bitch about work... And yet, I stay on at a job I hate, just hoping, day after day, that things improve with time. I finally figured that I've got to draw the line somewhere...

So...This is me drawing the line. This is me making a stand. This is me taking back control of my life because I'm pretty sure I'm worth more than this.

The letter was written and handed to my boss earlier today. Somebody congratulate me please? :)

About The Storm

Last few hours in Krabi. 3 days seem to have just flown past. And I managed to pass the 1st 95% of my time here without touching the computer! Hah! (To be honest, if it hadn't started storming 5 minutes ago while I was sunbathing, I probably would have made it the whole trip without hammering away aimlessly at the keyboard. :P)

Aside to Pink Martiny - If you're reading this, the hotel's not bad. Nowhere as nice as the photos shown here of course but it's pretty decent for the price we paid.

Ok, because this keyboard with its weird Thai symbols mixed in with the English alphabet is driving me bananas, I'll sign off here. I'm thinking I should get 1 more massage before I leave for the airport anyway...

And yes, I realise that this is a totally meaningless post. :P

About The Terminal

Ok. 1st time in Singapore's Budget Terminal. Not impressed. They don't sell Gucci sunglasses. What kind of DFS doesn't carry Gucci sunglasses?!?! They sell Ray Bans. Who the hell wears Ray Bans anymore?!?!

:P

But hey, at least they have free internet! And cigarettes!

Double :P

Ok lah, I'm being a little harsh. It actually ain't as bad as I pictured it'd be. There's a Times bookstore, a Hang Ten outlet , a Hans Cafe, a Polar Cafe, a Killeny Kopitiam, and a 7-11, among other stores. What it really needs is a LAN gaming shop where FFXI addicts like myself and The Stiletto can kill ourselves some Orcs before the plane takes off. Tarutarus rule!!!

Since that's not an option, I'm gonna go bury myself in a corner and do crossword puzzles while I wait for my flight to start boarding.

Goodbye people... Don't miss me too much! :)

About The Getaway

Leaving for Krabi is exactly 17 hours. Heh... Expect photos soon. :)

Q: How do you know you're addicted to online gaming?

A: When you and your boyfriend are going for a lovely beach holiday and the thought that immediately comes to mind is - "Shit! No FFXI for 4 whole days!"

:P

About Tarutaru Madness

In case you're wondering about the lack of blog activity on my part, it's because I've discovered a brand new way to spend my time online. Uh huh. A little slow to jump on the bandwagon I know, but I'm totally hooked on Final Fantasy XI.

The Stiletto and I have been glued to our computers every single night for the last week or so... And even though this is our 1st MMORPG (That's Massive Multiplayer Online Role Play Game for the uninitiated), I think we've made some very nice progress. Hell... At least I don't think character "partying" means a group of gamers getting together for a couple of beers and crappy music anymore. :P

Of course, I decided to be a girly-girl when it came to choosing my game character and opted for a creature that's so-cute-you-could-pee-in-your-pants - a Tarutaru. *beams like an idiot*

Awww c'mon. She's adorable, isn't she? And she also happens to be an up and coming Black Mage. I've gone from a level 1 to 13 within a week... Woot!

Since The Stiletto's in Vietnam again for the next 5 days, without any internet access, I figure this is as good a time as any for me to train and level up further... Just so he stops sniggering at how tiny I am next to his stinky old elf. *makes a face*

Aside to Princess Liliput - I still think you should get yourself the game and sign up for an account. After all, you've been an FF fan way longer than I have... And hell, what better way to vent out all those pent up frustrations? *hugs* Hang in there babe... Let's try to meet up this weekend ok? :)

Ok. 1am. Need to sleep before I get even more crosseyed than I am now. X)

About Bangkok's Reflections

Credits to Miss Bee for finding this gorgeously quirky boutique hotel in Bangkok. I now know exactly where I wanna stay the next time I head to Bangkok. Too bad Jetstar's 2-for-1 promotion ended so quickly. *grumpy face*

About The Papillos

Papillos. Love em. Want em.

The Stiletto, however, thinks I'm nuts to even think about spending almost $100 on a pair of slippers. My squeaks and squeals of "Ohhhhh but they're so pweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeety..." don't seem to be very convincing, nor do my spiels of how the soles are constructed for maximum comfort and support.

Phooey. What do men know about the importance of footwear anyway? Bleah.

Papillos. Love em. Want em.

The only problem now is, I'm totally stuck on which pair to get. Pweeeeeeeeeeeeeety. They're all so pweeeeeeeeeeeeeety. Currently leaning towards the Gizeh Garden Party. *drools* (Prices and pictures from Baumhouse.Com and German Shoes Online.)
