Yes, I know there's been a significant lull in blog activity on my part. I blame the half a dozen new computer games The Stiletto bought me 2 weeks ago... Which has resulted in me being glued to to the screen oogling at the fan-fucking-tastic zoo / mall / restaurant empire I've built up. Heh heh...
Not that I've had much time to play, since work's been really hectic. A big hug to Missdurh, who's finally returned to share my load... At last I have someone who understands what I've been going thru the past 4 months.
On a brighter note, I'm currently standing (and feeling extremely conspicuous) at Terminal 1 using the free internet connection as I wait to board my flight. (I don't understand why the cheap bastards won't provide us with chairs and a keyboard that's bigger than the size of a dinner plate. And my "END" button is spoilt! Sheesh...) Yes, I'm finally on vacation. Despite the fact that U2's postponed their concert, The Stiletto and I decided to head to Melbourne anyway. 10 days of beautiful autumn weather, lazing around having good coffee, fresh air and lots of monkey sex. Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...
Goodbye people... Don't miss me too much. :)

About The JB Jaunt
As promised, pics from our little jaunt across the causeway...

The Stiletto... Looking extremely grumpy at the disgusting traffic situation we faced after Singapore's immigration.
In the end, it took us almost 2 hours to get to where we wanted to go. Coming back home was worse. Lesson learned? Head up to JB on a Sunday only if you're (a) damn bloody patient (b) so bored you'll die (c) absolutely crazy. Geez...

To pass time, I decided to do the whole "take a self portrait" thingie... I just realised that my head looks extremely BIG in this shot. Nabei. Dua tou. *mutters under breath*

While The Stiletto and PLP went to the money changers, PL and I show off our "movie star" sunglasses... $8 a pop. How funky are they? :)
Btw, I'm not gonna post any pics of PLP yet. He's sort of camera shy so I'm assuming that he doesn't want to be "put on display" for now. Heh...

The Stiletto then comes back and tries to show off his sunnies. Not impressed baby... Sorry. :P
The next 8 hours were spent shopping at Holiday Plaza and City Square... After which, we went for a yummy seafood dinner at this outdoor restoran (Haha! That word never fails to crack me up...) called Lucky.

I was too busy stuffing my face with crab and crayfish to take any photos, so you'll have to make do with a shot of the "carnage" we left behind.
By the way, I still can't get over how cheap the food was. We had pepper crab, a mountain of cereal crayfish, a pork dish, some sort of eel dish, 2 types of noodles, a plate of veggies and beer... And the bill came up to RM140! That's like S$15 a person, which is dirt cheap considering we ate like pigs! Oink...

About Monday Blues (Again!)
Another Monday. Another crazy week ahead.
The Stiletto's Vietnam trip has been shifted to Tuesday till Friday.
Bah.
On a brighter note... Went to JB yesterday with The Stiletto, PL and The PL's Partner (PLP). Will post up a couple of photos soon...
Oh. And it's only 17 days left to Melbourne. 19 days left to U2. Tick tock...

About A Want Fulfilled
For some reason, I find myself thinking back to a conversation I had with my ex-boss last year. The lot of us were lounging around 1 of the pavillions at Villa Bali during The Short One's farewell drinks, and The Ex-Boss started quizzing us on what we wanted in life.
Usually, I loathe these sort of rhetorical questions. Trying to figure out "what makes me wake up in the morning" or "what I think my purpose in life is" gives me nothing but a migraine.
Which is why I was surprised to find that, this time, I had a ready answer... I wanted to be happy. Not just content. Not just mildly satisfied. But deep down in the gut happy. I wanted to smile when I woke up in the morning. I wanted to smile as I drifted off to sleep at night. And it saddened me that I couldn't remember the last time I'd felt that way.
I sometimes find it scary how much things have changed a mere 8 months later, at how good life's become... Especially since I did nothing more than ask a friend to watch a movie with me. He agreed, asked 1 of his friends along and the rest, as they say, was history.
To The Stiletto - I can still remember how life was before we met. I can probably go back to living that way pretty easily. Hell, knowing me, I'll probably even be relatively satisfied with that life. But I'm hoping that I won't have to... Because spending the past 3 months with you has made me happier than I ever thought I'd be. And as scared as I might get from time to time, I won't chicken out if you don't - I promise. Happy anniversary baby. :)
